FYI HSBC also have a Revolut "clone" called Zing.
It doesn't do as much as Revolut does, but some people may find the features useful, and it's with a "proper" bank not a dubious EMI which had its accounts qualified by the auditor.
I do use Revolut, but with trepidation. Wise have been superb for me - business and personal accounts, slick app, zero hassle once the initial "show us the invoice related to this transfer" and KYC stuff was done - and pay competitive interest on my/our GBP/USD/EUR balances.

Fantastic - thanks for that!
I never would have checked there. Weird that it doesn't come up when searching within the app.

Can someone sum up how it works? I've checked the app and it's not very self explanatory. I put all my UK spending through my Avios Barclaycard so it would only be holiday spend which I put through Revolut. Not sure it's gonna be much of a game changer for me.

They've apparently also "launched" with some airlines they don't even have a deal with yet. Through my connections I have some inside info on the underlying contracts on this and it's pretty much a sh*tshow. Revolut is opening themselves up to be sued here, acting in bad faith and basically following their mantra of move fast and break things.

Just to add a point for people who live outside of UK, I do believe most jurisdictions Revolut operates in as a real bank or partnered with a real bank and therefore is protected as a real bank account. So for Revolut customers in EU and US, the accounts are insured by the regulator. Idk about the other jurisdictions, but I noticed many people commented that they are opposed to Revolut because they are not insured by UK regulators.
I don't know where else Revpoints is available, but has been in NL for a bit. As someone living in NL, there are very few ways to earn any points of any kind with card spending outside of American Express, which is not widely accepted here, so I would say that this is surely better than nothing...

Mine shows welcome offer of 3000 Revpoints if I make 150 eligible card transactions in 90 days. Couldn't find what counts as eligible though.

I use the Virgin Atlantic Reward + card for all my spends in Europe as it has no foreign exchange ripoff fees unlike most credit cards AND one of the very few to earn points too. Great to get spends towards upgrade vouchers on European spends without any exchange fees, Outside Europe I use the Halifax Clarity which doesn’t earn points but has no foreign exchange rate fees, Sounds like Revolut has no added benefits?

What's helpful about Revolut and similar services is that they abstract your real bank / card account from the transaction. When using "real" credit cards, your number can be cloned and you can rack up losses to your credit limit or the money that's in your current account if a debit card. If you're abroad, maybe without regular roaming / data services, then you might not even know about any issue quickly and you may also not be able to sort it quickly.
With online services such as Revolut in the way I use it, I keep a maximum of £200 available for my incidental purchases. If I want to buy something more expensive than that then I can top up really easily just before I make the purchase. My risk is managed so much better than if I use a card abroad with a direct link to my bank accounts.
That's how I see it, anyway.

Apple Pay (or whatever the Android equivalent is) also doesn't transfer the real card details, although that's no use for cash withdrawals of course.
I do have a Revolut account, as it was one of the first to offer free cash withdrawals worldwide. I now use my Chase card for most payments and cash withdrawals abroad. My Nationwide CC is also free to use abroad.

Thanks - I use ApplePay for my Virgin and Halifax Clarity cards so the card details are not shared.
i think Revolut sounds useful if theres travel insurance or free ATM withdrawals, but given the points benefits of using Virgin Atlantic in Europe with no interchange fees, thats a much better offer in my view.

I had read that they have recently changed the system of The points from just earning through spending and transfers, to now only offering them when you Sum Up, essentially meaning you're paying a (terrible) rate per point.
Maybe this was just the Spanish market that changed.

Apart from the Avios connection - I cannot see the connection with British Airways. With great respect, I am not about to go and live in Japan - so I really feel that Revult ( is it short for revolution? How unfortunate). I have my BA Amex card which is the only card for which I would pay. For a long time I have had a Caxtonfx card which I swear by I also have a Barclaycard Avios card. When I go on those clunky shopping pages - mostly for IHG hotels - I get Avios there as well. Since BA tightened up the Avios dispersal for actually flying with them ,I seem to earn more with cards which I find rather shocking. As many here know - I am so conscious of people going into debt over flights Avios or whatever.
You will laugh - but I am actually quite disciplined about the cards - I keep all the receipts and do almost a daily check on the account movements to check who is going out and to what. My husband is even better as he does not spend anything much. He will glance occasionally at the screen and he says" Name - Pucci Galore - subject Shopping and Travel. Speciality minding other people's business at Flyertalk" Cheek!
What I would add is that earning the things is one matter - spending them is another. Wherever I want to go there seems to be no availability for months if ever. Some of you have expressed similar feelings.
