We have been in NC for 4 months and my son comes home nearly every day talking about being bullied, by students and teachers alike. I have sent emails and made calls to the superintendent’s office and nothing has been done. My son used to get straight A’s and now he doesn’t because he is so anxious to go to school. We have to do virtual academy next year because I am so concerned about his safety. I have anxiety every day sending him to school. We cant wait for the school year to be over.

I have ultimately enjoyed my time with Cabarrus County Schools. I have been inside this school system for my entire primary and secondary education mainly within the AIG/Honors program. The teachers at Cabarrus County are wonderful, they have typically provided a wonderful learning environment for me over the course of my 13 years. My only complaint is with the school board and administration team at the schools. They tend to treat their teachers as if they are students, limiting the creativity and abilities of the teachers from creating the best classroom pedagogy environment that they can create.

Overall compared to the other cabarrus schools were very well off. We have a very good program for multimedia and coding, while also having some good business classes/ drafting classes. My school in particular is very diverse. You’ll know when it’s a cultural holiday because people will be dressed up in their native clothes. We also throw some culture holidays at our school and we have a ton of clubs for anything anyone is into. The food is okay (it really depends on what they’re serving that day). Teachers can be a hit or miss, but I’d like to say overall they’re good, and you can just ask student their opinions on a teacher to learn who the good and bad ones are.
